Hojicha Brewing Guide:
Traditional Hot Brew:

- Water temperature: 175-185°F (80-85°C) — slightly cooler than boiling to preserve the delicate roasted notes
- Method: Whisk powder with a small amount of hot water to form a smooth paste, then add remaining water and whisk until frothy
- Steep time: Instant once whisked (no steeping required for powder)
Iced Hojicha:
- Prepare as above with half the water, then pour over ice
- Or cold brew: Mix powder with cold water, shake well, and refrigerate for 2-4 hours
Hojicha Latte:
- Whisk 1-2 teaspoons with 2 oz hot water
- Add 6 oz steamed milk (dairy or plant-based)
- Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if desired
